Lagoon catamaran shipbuilding yard was founded in 1984 as a subsidiary unit of Jeanneau Racing Company which boats have repeatedly won different prestigious sailing regattas. After the merger of two French giants the Jeanneau and Beneteau corporations, the Lagoon Company came under the wing of the CNB shipbuilding yard which talented and well-known all over the world designers Marc Van Peteghem and Vincent Lario Prevo have designed and built the unique trimaran named the BMW-Oracle.

Since 2003 the Lagoon is a leader among the manufacturers of sailing 35-65 feet long cruise catamarans, and now is on its way into the segment of motor multi-hull ships’ production. Currently the factory in Bordeaux (France) employs over 500 people working hard and searching for the best possible solutions in ship construction. Many quite useful design solutions like, for example, a “springboard” of a special form and a pillar placed on a stern were designed by this shipbuilding yard engineers, and nowadays these unique inventions became the shipbuilding industry standards.
